The Empire’s economy is built upon three primary forms of currency, each serving a different place in daily life. The Aureus, a gold coin, is the highest denomination and is typically reserved for the wealthy, large transactions, and matters of state. The Silver Denarius is the standard currency used by merchants, soldiers, and most citizens for trade and wages, making it the backbone of the Roman economy. At the lowest denomination are Bronze Coppers, inexpensive coins exchanged for everyday necessities such as food, drink, and small goods. Whether paying taxes, purchasing supplies, or bribing a city official, every citizen depends on the Empire’s coinage.

Class Income

Historically, the upper class annual income is 2500 Denarius, with a rate of 200 Denarius or 8 Aureus per month.

The middle class annual income is 300 Denarius, with a rate of 25 Denarius or 1 Aureus per month.

The lower class annual income is 60 Denarius, with a rate of 5 Denarius or 60 Coppers per month.

How to Earn

Every character's starting payout will be equivalent to their monthly income (i.e., 200 D for upper class players, 25 D for middle, and 5 D for lower). Please note that while Lower class players will earn significantly less than Upper class players, the farming rate for Influence will be higher to compensate!
